Summary
We are looking for engineers and architects to join our CAT (catastrophe) team on a short-term basis. You will assist in forensic investigations related to significant losses impacting our clients. CAT Consultants work independently and collaboratively to assess and determine the cause of damage to various structures. CAT Consultants will be expected to mobilize to impacted areas for site investigations. This is an immediate opportunity, with the potential of full-time.

Role & Responsibilities
- Investigate damage to residential, commercial, and industrial buildings and structures.
- Conduct thorough site visits to collect field data.
- Identify the root cause and extent of damage by evaluating data, environmental factors, and material properties.
- Prepare, compile, and review relevant documentation, measurements, photos, sketches, and other relevant information to prepare initial project reports.
- Write clear and comprehensive reports that communicate findings and recommendations.
- Work independently or as part of a team to perform investigations and damage assessments on large complex buildings and structures.
- Ensure job files, documentation, and deliverables are well-organized.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A degree (or working towards one) in a relevant field like engineering, architecture, construction, or a similar discipline.
- Varying experience levels considered; 1-2 years relevant experience preferred.
- PE, EIT, or AIA license preferred, but not required.
- Licensed drone operators preferred, but not required.
- Excellent communication, writing, and analytical skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to travel with reliable transportation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Job Type: Temporary (3-6 months). Pay: Up to $40-$115 per hour based on level of experienceMultiple positions available. Long-term opportunities may be available based on business needs and individual performance.
