Role Overview
In this role you will provide a full secretarial and administrative support service and general assistance with the day to day workload and activities of lawyers, partners and management team members across Europe.
The contract for this position is a fixed-term contract for 1 year.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and secretarial support to lawyers, partners and management team members.
- Write up and work on various documents including editing, formatting and filing.
- Assist in billing, opening of new matters and associated tasks.
- Prepare first drafts of engagement letters.
- Prepare presentations in PowerPoint, reports, statements etc.
- Handle business correspondence.
- Maintain, plan and coordinate the lawyers’ work day, schedule appointments, conferences and meetings
- Make travel arrangements and prepare business itineraries.
- Liaising with clients and other firms.
Requirements
- 1-2 years solid experience in an Assistant position, at a law firm will be the advantage.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- PC literate, with excellent working knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint, and good working knowledge of Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organization and prioritization skills
- Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure and prioritize workload, all within a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to demonstrate a flexible and hands-on attitude.
- Can demonstrate initiative and the ability to be proactive, anticipating needs.
- Familiarity with law, legal procedures and protocols is desirable.
- Trustworthy with sensitive and confidential information.
