At Snorkel AI, we are pioneering new approaches to data development. We are seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented operations manager to manage a team of data annotators supporting new initiatives in our Research department. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge approaches to data development. This role requires a high degree of adaptability, commitment to driving qualitative and quantitative success metrics, and excellent prioritization and communication skills.

The role may require working evenings or weekends at times.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage a team of data annotators to create high-quality labeled datasets for training, tuning, and evaluating machine learning models.
- Provide training, instruction, and coaching to data annotators.
- Manage day to day execution of annotation process and workflows.
- Responsible for the annotation team’s timely and accurate completion of various annotation tasks.
- Track and drive efficiency and quality of the data annotation team to support the needs of Research and Engineering projects
- Collaborate with the engineering team and project owners to understand annotation requirements; translate requirements into policies and guidelines for annotators.
- Separate annotators that are not meeting requirements.
- Oversee the tracking and approval process for billable work to ensure accuracy, facilitating timely invoicing and revenue recognition.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years relevant work experience in operations management, program management or data annotation operations
- Ability to manage a large team performing manual operations
- Strong prioritization skills and the ability to self-direct
- Adaptability and creativity when faced with operational challenges
- Strong commitment to data accuracy and output
- Problem-solving skills and aptitude for improving processes
- Effective communication and writing skills
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
