Field SalesAccount Executive (Austin, TX) to manage key
Quartzy accounts in our academic segment. In this role, you’ll build relationships with new accounts in order to maximize purchasing spend and grow adoption of the platform.
You’re the type of person who is motivated by building relationships. It’s easy for you to communicate with others - by both listening and empathizing as well as getting your point across in a clear and concise manner. You’re naturally curious, and don’t stop asking questions until you fully understand the situation. While you are competitive by nature, you like working in a team environment and are motivated by the success of those around you. You should be accustomed to handling your own pipeline and meeting demanding quotas.

What You'll Do:
- Drive New Lab Acquisition: Identify and onboard new labs at key academic institutions, maximizing early engagement and platform adoption.
- Field Engagement: Spend 3+ days weekly in the field, building relationships with lab managers and researchers, hosting events, and aligning Quartzy’s solutions with customer needs.
- Sales Strategy Execution: Tailor sales strategies to each account, leveraging insights to enhance Quartzy’s value for specific lab goals.
- Account Development: Expand Quartzy’s presence in new and existing labs, boosting purchasing spend and platform use.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams to integrate customer feedback and deliver exceptional service.
- Market Intelligence: Gather insights on competitors and market trends during field visits to sharpen our strategy.
- Travel: This role is expected to travel around 60% of the time.
What We're Looking For:
- 2+ years sales or account management experience with proven track record of overachievement
- Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
- Fantastic written and verbal communication ability
- Eager to learn and grow
- Bachelor's degree or considerable and relevant work experience
- A tech savvy person who is experienced working with a variety of different technology (we use Salesforce, Outreach, and other sales automation/enablement tools)
- Interest (or a background) in life science would be helpful
- Prior experience working / selling in the field, a plus
