Job Description

Joining Collibra’s Finance team

Collibra’s Finance team is united by our relentless focus on building trusted business partnerships, solving difficult business challenges, scaling systems and processes for growth, and making a meaningful impact on our business. We embody our values of “We are one Collibra” by working, learning, and having fun together; as well as being “Open, direct and kind” with each other. We are passionate about the role finance can play in shaping our business and are driven to get things done.

Financial Analysts at Collibra are responsible for:

  • Building strong, trusted relationships with upper management and executive leaders to provide strategic financial insights. You will have direct visibility to senior leadership and be expected to play an active role in managing the business. This role is uniquely positioned to leverage analytics to provide insights that drive immediate, positive changes in business trajectory.
  • Utilizing systems such as Netsuite, Adaptive Insights, Salesforce, FinancialForce, Workday, and Tableau to continually improve our operational and financial forecasting process and accuracy. You will work closely with our operations and people partner teams to ensure our planning processes run smoothly and are clearly understood across the organization.
  • Owning & providing variance commentary of department P&Ls, assisting with the monthly and quarterly board materials, and developing high-impact analysis to assist leaders' decision making as Collibra continues to scale.
  • Analyzing financial trends and operational KPI to develop accurate annual financial plans and monthly forecasts. You will create business cases and sensitivity/scenario models that will help to project the impact of short and long term projects on overall business projections.
  • Representing finance as a critical member of cross-functional teams that design and implement high profile growth initiatives

You have:

  • At least 3 years experience in an analytical role (corporate finance / banking / audit) with proven experience building relationships at all levels of management and across functions
  • Strong knowledge and familiarity of financial reporting / accounting concepts
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced Excel skills, a working knowledge of G-Suite, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience with a high growth SaaS company and experience with headcount and expense management is a plus
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent related working experience is required
  • This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

You are:

  • A thoughtful collaborator and great listener, keenly focused on understanding business challenges, building strong relationships, and driving even stronger outcomes.
  • A highly analytical problem-solver, with a propensity for taking action.
  • Able to “zoom in and out” of details when needed. You can “roll up your sleeves” to get into the data and analysis and then explain to leadership with the bigger picture in focus.
  • An excellent communicator capable of translating complex, nuanced, or detailed analysis into clear, actionable summaries or recommendations.
  • Comfortable in ambiguity, thrive through change, and highly motivated to grow and learn as the company evolves

Measures of success:

  • Within your first month, you will begin to develop strong cross functional relationships with your business partners and understand the top priorities, growth plans, and investment areas of the business.
  • Within your third month, you will own finance’s relationship with several members of the Executive Leadership Team; providing monthly variance analysis and input on budget decisions
  • Within your sixth month, you will have become a trusted go-to finance partner for the Executive Leadership Team; able to speak to trends and variance drivers of both top line results and Opex.

Compensation for This Role

The standard base salary range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000 per year. This position is not eligible for additional commission-based compensation. Salary offers are based on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skills, and location.

In addition to base salary, we offer equity ownership at every level, bonus potential, a Flex Fund monthly stipend, pension/401k plans, and more.
