The Global End-Market Manager will help to define and develop the plan to execute the strategy for their assigned end market. This role is integral to defining the direction of the extended global marketing organization. The GEMM role is essentially seen as the subject matter expert in their end market and therefore will be expected to drive decisions about campaigns, product development, regional strategies for penetration of that end market, and sales activities. The person in this role will collaborate closely with the Sr. Director of Market Development & the Marketing Program Managers, as well as Product Management, Regional Marketing and the End Market Sales Specialists.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and prepare end market strategy each fiscal year, including penetration and growth strategies by region: comunicate and gain buy in by SLT and marketing leadership
- Collaborate with regional marketing to discuss how to implement market strategy in region & address specific regional needs
- Work directly with MPM to build an annual marketing plan that includes campaigns, digital marketing, comms, events and internal trainings to drive demand generation
- Discuss & prioritize NPD ideas with product management team, drawing on extensive market knowldege including new regulations, emerging analytes or compounds of interest, competitor moves and additional emerging market needs
- Responsible for closely monitoring competitors and reporting out to commercial and marketing teams as well as designing appropriate responses to competitor activities in collaboration wtih relevant teams
- Attend industry relevant seminars, shows and events to increase knowledge of market
- Provide commercial teams with focused and market-based product positioning, tools and training
- Support the development and execution of global digital marketing programs, including email campaigns, social media posts, and webinars
- Partner with LGC’s product management teams to characterize business opportunities
- Monitor global market trends and perform competitor research to facilitate growth
- Cultivate relationships with key opinion leaders
- Conduct quarterly reviews of end-market growth and performance

- Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time and comfortable with a fast paced work envronmnent
- A demonstrated track-record of strong collaboration. Experience working in global teams
Experience Requirements
- Bachelors in Marketing, finance, or equivalent degree
- 4-7+ years leading in marketing function; 3-5 years related end-market experience
- Experience working in the life sciences industry required, specifically in biopharma
- Proven experience managing global marketing team to meet and exceed performance targets
- Deep commercial awareness and planning abilities
- Willingness to travel within Europe and to the US as needed
