This position is remote with quarterly travel to work together in-person, but we prefer candidates in one of our cities of operations, including Atlanta, Seattle, Los Angeles, Miami, DC, Dallas, Phoenix, or Minneapolis.

About the Head of Marketing Role

Saltbox is at a pivotal moment of transformation and growth. We are looking for a visionary Head of Marketing to lead our charge. This role is your chance to shape the future of a rapidly expanding company and redefine the logistics landscape for e-commerce entrepreneurs. As the Head of Marketing, you will be the architect of the Saltbox brand, driving awareness, customer acquisition, and engagement, while deftly applying the principles of product-led and community-led growth. Reporting directly to the CEO and sitting on the executive team, you will develop and execute marketing strategies that align with our mission and business goals, leveraging data to constantly sharpen and scale our go-to-market efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Inspire: Mentor a dynamic team of marketers, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous growth.
  • Collaborative Strategy: Work closely with product, solutions delivery, and customer success teams to craft integrated marketing plans. Focus on converting, retaining, and expanding our customer base, supporting product launches, and growing our top-of-funnel.
  • Product Marketing: Develop compelling messaging and evolve our positioning for a comprehensive software and space offering to our core audience.
  • Community-Driven Growth: Leverage our entrepreneurial customer network to drive community-led growth. Build brand loyalty through active engagement, user-generated content, and authentic interactions, turning customers into passionate brand advocates.
  • Audience Connection: Deeply understand the needs and behaviors of our core customers, ensuring our messaging resonates across the right channels.
  • Growth & Retention: Partner with our digital marketing lead to develop and iterate on campaigns, measure success, and drive continuous improvement.

Base Salary: $200,000-$220,000 plus bonus potential and generous stock options.
