What’s so great about working on Calendly’s Engineering team?

Calendly is the scheduling automation and meeting lifecycle platform used by millions of users for eliminating the back-and-forth emails to find the perfect time — and so much more. We are looking for an experienced and hands-on leader in the external API management and integration space.

This is a really exciting opportunity to create a vision and deliver a world class set of APIs that can enable the development of awesome first party as well as third party integrations for Calendly. Our goal is to make external data that our users care about the most available in Calendly as well as make Calendly available in other tools where our users are spending their time. In this role, you will lead a team of engineers focusing on our vision of APIs as well as building integrations with a variety of CRM, ATS systems as well as productivity tools.

This position reports to the Chief Technology Officer and is located remotely in the United States.

A day in the life of Head of API and Integrations at Calendly

On a typical day, you will be working on:

  • Defining and executing the vision and strategy for the API and Integration team, aligning with the Calendly’s goals and priorities
  • Supporting and mentoring a team of engineers, providing technical guidance and coaching on their career development
  • Ensuring the quality, performance, security, and scalability of the APIs and integrations, following best practices and standards
  • Collaborating with other engineering teams, product managers, and stakeholders to understand the business requirements and deliver solutions that meet or exceed expectations
  • Driving innovation and adoption of new technologies and methodologies that enhance the API and Integration capabilities and user experience
  • Developing a vibrant ecosystem of third party developers that can help us build impactful integrations with Calendly

What do we need from you?

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Experience with the API Management and building first party as well as third party integrations
  • Experience in building and maintaining integrations with various systems and services, such as CRM, ATS, productivity tools
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, such as GCP and their services and tools
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for delivering high-quality products and services that delight customers
  • Ability to iterate and ship fast
  • Past startup experience is highly preferred
  • Authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America as Calendly does not engage in immigration sponsorship at this time
