What to expect:

As Help Desk Specialist, you are responsible for delivering and supporting end users regarding how to use various types of software programs efficiently and effectively in fulfilling business objectives. This includes:

Information Systems Support

  • Maintain and support internal applications software
  • Test new versions prior to implementation and train staff
  • Install and evaluate new software applications
  • Maintain complete knowledge of CWB Group computer software and systems
  • Maintain and support internal hardware like laptops, monitors, peripherals

Support Platforms

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Microsoft Teams
  • Microsoft Office 365
  • Windows 10/11
  • Lenovo laptops
  • Apple iPhone
  • The scope of applications will be adjusted on an as-needed basis

User and Help-Desk Support

  • Train users on software applications
  • Provide support services for users on related problems

Training

  • Prepare training materials and provide application and infrastructure training to staff
  • Modify existing training material or create new material as required
  • Schedule training sessions
  • Set up training room equipment
  • Provide follow-up support

Other duties as assigned

  • In the absence of regular staff, perform backup duties as required
  • Other duties to be performed as designated by the IT Manager and Director, Information Technology

In this position, you will report to the IT Helpdesk Supervisor and will be working remotely from your home office in Ontario, Canada as well as the CWB Milton office. CWB has adopted a remote-first working model, where employees will work from their home office, servicing the client within their specified areas either remotely or in person. We are embracing radical flexibility, where employees are encouraged to work a schedule that works best for them, their team, and their clients.

What you bring to the table:

  • Bilingualism (French/English) is considered an asset
  • 3 years of progressive experience working in an IT environment
  • Experience implementing and enhancing software solutions using MS Dynamics 365 platform
  • Degree/ Diploma in Information Technology or other equivalent education/ Work Experience
  • Experience with Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office 365, Application support & maintenance, Help Desk Experience

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • This is a remote, work-from-home position, travel is required to work from one of CWB Group offices on a planned schedule
  • Travel might be required from time to time

The following qualifications are considered assets:

  • University degree or college diploma in Computer Science, IT, or a related area of study
