Overview

We are seeking to fill the role of Investor Reporting Analyst III. The ideal candidate enjoys collaborating with clients, industry partners and internal teams to maximize outcomes for homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Complete complex mortgage accounting activity reporting for agency, guarantor, investor, trustee, and client portfolios. • Create and execute moderately complex SQL coding/queries to analyze servicing, reporting, remittance, and reconciliation data; facilitate resolution of exception and compliance identified issues for Reporting-related issues. Review and validate investor reporting data provided by the organization; independently coordinate with operational business units, clients, and investors to resolve detected reporting and remittance differences. • Remit payments according to agency, guarantor, investor, trustee, and client guidelines. Independently calculate and initiate the most complex wire transfer scenarios; independently determine the appropriate funding source. • Reconcile LoanCare mortgage accounting records against agency, guarantor, investor, trustee,and client records. Research and resolve the most complex custodial, clearing, portfolio, and other cash and/or book balance reconciling items; implement situational risk remediation (job aids, etc.) for team. Perform most complex pool to security reconciliations for MBS remittance type investors; independently identify and remediate deviations/exceptions as well as initiate required cash adjustments. • Forecast principal and interest advances using specified pooling and servicing agreement. Proactively manage custodial account balances to prevent overdrafts and ensure compliant funding of custodial accounts. Independently implement solutions to cure unavoidable overdrafts. Respond to the most complex advance component inquiries and independently resolve advance calculation discrepancies. • Complete assigned individual and MSP tasks timely and accurately; track daily and monthly workflow for assigned team. Refer workflow gaps and potential root causes to management. Serve as a departmental subject matter expert for MSP as it pertains to investor reporting functions. • Facilitate clear and concise communications with investors, clients, and internal business partners on behalf of investor reporting and independently engage effectively with all levels of corporate and operational management. Analyze reporting, remittance, reconciliation, and loan transfer activity deviations/exceptions; formulate and implement root cause remediation solutions in partnership with clients and internal business partners. Manage most complex reporting and remittance discrepancies. Responsible for resolving escalated reporting and remittance discrepancies. • Establish new and update existing pool and MSP header records; adhere to appropriate header controls for each unique investor/remittance type. Input manual loan transfers; independently make critical decisions regarding appropriate field entries to facilitate transfer. Resolve any output errors. Independently upload any complexity of MSP transaction as required; input transactions manually as needed. Determine and resolve root cause of exceptions related to uploaded or manually input transactions. • Update procedures and advise management accordingly for review and publication. • Assist with training and assist junior level employees. • Identify and remediate potential compliance deviations related to subservicing agreements and investor guidelines for Reporting-related requirements. Proactively identify and lead process improvements within investor, support deployment of multi-departmental process changes, and lead special projects. • Respond to more complex Dynamics ticket requests with limited assistance from management. • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent. • 5+ years’ experience Investor Accounting/Reporting and/or Mortgage Servicing industry . • 5+ years’ progressive experience with FNMA, GNMA, FHLMC, or Private Investors. • Advanced knowledge of Lender Processing Services system (MSP product) or other mortgage servicing platform experience. • Advanced knowledge of complex Test of Cash logic, MSP cash flow and cash management-related activity. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. • Knowledge of subservicing activity as it pertains to subservicing agreements. • Advanced analytical and critical-thinking skills required. • Advanced arithmetic to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals. • Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally with internal customers and external clients and investors. • Ability to work independently and exercise independent judgement; self-directed. • Ability to work as part of a team to effectively meet deadlines. • Must be able to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Desired Skills and Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. • Knowledge of moderately complex SQL coding.

Work Conditions

Able to attend work and be productive during normal business hours and to work early, late or weekend hours as needed for successful job performance. Overtime required as necessary.
