The work you will do:
Handle the delivery of IT Computing Services Security operations, architecture & services, and lead infrastructure processes to meet business needs.
Support Anti-Malware, systems monitoring, Operating System and Database security patching, and vulnerability management & remediation.
Strong working Knowledge of specific products such as TrendMicro / Vision One (server and storage), SolarWinds, Qualys and Ivanti. These environments serve as primary security platforms and protection for servers, databases, and storage.
Collaborate with other teams around the world. You will identify, qualify, recommend, and support Security operations.
Own the research, development, testing, documenting, deploying, and maintaining all aspects of Agilent systems' security on-prem and in the public cloud.
Remain abreast of industry security trends and incidents and provide periodic updates to senior IT management regarding potential solutions, vulnerabilities, and mitigations.
Coordinate IT operations (patching, upgrades, solve, downtime planning, periodic backup/restoration testing, etc.) between business partners, IT administrators and end-users.
Drive productivity improvements in our security environment while maintaining business continuity & performance.
Lead all aspects of a technical team of administrators responsible for day-to-day security & tools operations.
Ensure compliance standards, policies & regulations (e.g., architecture, security, SOX, FDA, PII, PAM).
Guide the creation and modification of standards and procedures.
Advocate for existing Security standards, policies, and procedures while encouraging innovation and improvements.
Develop and deliver reports for senior management and key partners.
Lead and coordinate the development of periodic upgrades to the Security System tools, including migration to the cloud.
Provide mentorship for ongoing corrective and preventative maintenance to improve reliability and availability of the Security environment. Drive the team to discover root cause of failures and being responsible for remediations to prevent reoccurrence.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology or MIS (or related field).
4+ years of experience in IT Security and Compliance
Security and Tools experience in the following areas:
Experience with TrendMicro server and storage Anti-Malware administration, SolarWinds server monitoring administration, PowerShell scripting, Ivanti server and database security patching processes and procedures.
Validated understanding of Microsoft Windows and UNIX (Linux, IBM AIX, RedHat, etc.).
Vulnerability prevention, detection & remediation, data classification, Disaster recovery.
Experience with regulated environments (ISO 9000, NIST, FDA, etc.) related to health and life sciences industries.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability & flexibility to work efficiently with people from all over the world, presenting effectively with Server, Storage, Database, Backup and Network team representatives.
Must be able to work with a team of domain experts who advise activities of an outsourced support team in day-to-day incident management, maintenance activities and projects.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrate initiative, ownership, communication, partnership, and problem-solving skills.
Strong program & project management experience.
Must be able to work independently with minimal direction, be able to handle multiple projects & assignments, and be flexible and productive despite times of ambiguity.
