The EPIC Junior Chargeback Analyst we are looking for:
The EPIC Jr. Chargeback Analyst will be responsible for assisting in monitoring and analyzing the performance of purchased loans. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively communicate with business partners (providers) as well as internal departments outside of the team of the operations. Reporting to the Portfolio Administration manager, the Jr. Chargeback Analyst will manage servicing and compliance tasks related to the loan portfolio as needed.
As a Junior Chargeback Analyst, you will:
- Assist Portfolio Manager in identifying first payment default and down payment chargebacks within HFD's enterprise level portfolios.
- Assist in sending outgoing requests for proof of treatment and monitoring responses in a timely manner
- Confidently review proof of treatments for indication of fraud
- Submit chargeback responses in an accurate timely manner to assist HFD in winning such disputes.
- Assist with monitoring post charge-off collection vendor performance and remittances.
- Assist in the development of operational processes and workflows to the business needs of a growing company
- Be able to identify and alert management to "red flags" or trends within data
- Assist in creating feedback loops with our providers to ensure timeliness and accuracy in our submissions
- Participate in special projects aimed at continuous process improvements related to operational processes and procedures
- Perform ad hoc duties as assigned
- Associate’s degree with relevant experience or Bachelor’s Degree, in Accounting of Finance
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs with a solution-oriented mindset
- A willingness to learn
- Ability to multi-task
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and be self-motivated
- Ability to multitask and excel in a fast-paced environment
- Beginner / Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft excel
Preferred Experience:
- Dispute or Chargeback experience
- Previous experience in underwriting
- Payment portal compliance
- Experience using HubSpot, MS SQL and Database
