About the Role

Our client is seeking a junior to beginner level animator for a project involving the creation of a short story animation in the anime style. This remote position offers an excellent opportunity for an aspiring animator to gain experience and showcase their skills. The project is expected to last about a week, with potential for follow-up work based on the initial outcome.

Responsibilities

  • Create a short story animation in the anime style
  • Develop character designs and backgrounds consistent with anime aesthetics
  • Storyboard the narrative to effectively convey the short story
  • Animate characters and scenes using appropriate software
  • Implement anime-specific animation techniques and visual effects

Requirements

  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in animation software (e.g., Adobe Animate, Toon Boom Harmony, or similar)
  • Understanding of animation principles and techniques specific to anime style
  • Ability to create character designs and backgrounds in anime aesthetic
  • Basic knowledge of storyboarding and visual storytelling
  • Familiarity with common anime tropes and visual language
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
