What You'll Do
A successful Junior Software Engineer will own initiatives that include but are not limited to the below:
- Develop software applications and solutions based on documented business and system requirements.
- Write, edit, and debug code for assigned projects.
- Understand how applications operate, are structured, and how to use them.
- Provide assistance to the testing team and support personnel as needed to resolve application issues.
- Respond promptly and professionally to bug reports.
- Provide input and estimates about the efforts required to build desired functionality.
- Learn and implement new technologies and design patterns.
- Use Test Driven Development (TDD) techniques to specify a detailed executable design for your solution.
- Collaborate with global teams to ensure cohesive and efficient software development.
- Participate in CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance to streamline the development process.
What You May Need to be Successful:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent.
- 1+ years of application development experience in one or more of the following: Backend (Java or C#), Frontend (Angular 4+ or React).
- Desire to learn all layers of the stack from frontend UI to databases and model layers.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly in a distributed team environment.
- Basic understanding of cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
