About Us:

At Teem, we are committed to revolutionizing the way we train and integrate remote workers and office teams in the optometry and retail healthcare sectors. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Learning and Development Manager to join our team and drive the development of our three pillars of training.

Role Overview:

As our first hire for this function, the Learning and Development Manager will be responsible for the full cycle of development, strategy, and implementation of our training programs. This role requires someone who can think strategically while also being willing to lead grassroots efforts. You will be creating and implementing comprehensive training programs that encompass industry-specific training for optometry and other retail healthcare sectors, office-level training for better integration of team members, and remote worker training to develop highly valuable remote resources.

Requirements

Develop and Implement Training Programs: Design and execute training modules for our three pillars: industry-specific training in optometry and retail healthcare, office-level integration training, and remote worker development.

Instructional Design: Create engaging, digestible, and effective content that meets the learning needs of our employees and practices. Utilize various instructional design methodologies to enhance learning outcomes.
Ownership and Leadership: Take full ownership of the learning and development function, ensuring all training programs are aligned with company goals and objectives.

Platform Rollout: Lead the rollout of a training platform that is user-friendly, practical, and highly beneficial for our team members and clients.

Continuous Improvement: Continuously assess and improve training content and delivery methods to ensure optimal effectiveness and relevance.

Continuing Education: Develop and implement ongoing education programs to help employees become experts in specific areas, such as scheduling or insurance verification, and other relevant or unrelated skills over time.

Qualifications:
Experience: A minimum of five years of experience in instructional design and learning development. Experience in retail healthcare is a plus but not mandatory.
Skills: Strong instructional design skills with the ability to create content that is both engaging and easy to understand.
Leadership: Demonstrated ability to take ownership and lead training initiatives from conception to implementation.
Location: Must be based in the United States.
