Job Description

As Management Accountant, you will take individual responsibility for delivering right first time, accurate, timely and relevant financial reports on a regular basis aligned to the timetable set by the business and allowing the business the information upon which to base decisions. The individual will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the financial aspects of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of month end accounts & financial reports including preparing and posting journals for accruals, prepayments, stock provisions, wages, expenses, sales deductions, GRNI etc.
  • Complete VAT returns for review by Group tax.
  • Reconciling balance sheet accounts.
  • Aiding in the preparation of detailed budgets and forecasts in conjunction with budget holders.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly flash & month end reporting pack.
  • Assist with annual financial statements & year end audit.
  • Contributing to the continued development of systems within the business.
  • Supporting the Finance Director in ensuring that financial systems/processing are accurate and regularly reconciled.

Requirements

  • Accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • Experience preparing management accounts and financial packs.
  • Experience with accounting software packages, ideally SAGE.
  • Excellent MS Office Excel literacy, including pivot tables, vlookups, etc.
  • A desire to learn and work proactively.
  • System implementation experience will be a plus.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Motivated by continuous improvement.
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
