In this key role, you will have responsibility for managing several key business areas. The primary objective of this individual is to manage a team of financial operations specialist supporting the AR, AP and Treasury/Banking functions within the LightspeedDMS finance department. This individual will manage the active contributors to the development of overall business strategies and the day-to-day operations of financial operations. Specific activities include owning the procurement process, ensuring vendors are properly paid within payment terms, accurate transaction GL coding, customer invoicing and collections and cash management. This person will manage approximately 5 individuals and will be a key partner to the Director of Accounting / Controller. This role reports to the Director of Accounting / Controller.

What you'll do:

Accounts Payable

  • Responsible for an effective and efficiently running Accounts Payable department.
  • Ensure vendors are paid within payment terms
  • Design an organized end to end AP process.
  • Ensure accurate AP GL coding
  • Manage AP team members

Procurement

  • Ensure an end to end procurement process is followed by the business
  • Negotiate with vendors on an as needed basis

Accounts Receivable

  • Responsible for monthly billing of our customers out of NetSuite.
  • Manage AR reporting – AR aging, etc.
  • Manage AR and collections team members
  • Manage collection process and ensure proper management of needed actions (legal, service restrictions, communications, etc.)
  • Manage customer communication on billing related issues. Ensure a high level of customer service is provided during billing inquiries and disputes.

Treasury

  • Manage banking relationships
  • Performing day-to-day cash management functions including calculating the daily cash position for multiple accounts and entities
  • Monitors the maintenance of debt and manages debt compliance according to debt guidelines
  • Responsible for derivatives and related accounting practices
  • Cash forecasting support
Requirements

What you'll have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in bookkeeping, AP, AR, treasury and/or collections.
  • 3+ years of management experience
  • Prior experience with NetSuite is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail – ensuring a strong understanding of current open AR, AP and cash status.
  • Strong communication skills across all stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail in terms of ensuring accurate GL coding of all transactions
  • Proven experience building strong high trust relationships across team members, senior leadership, customers and vendors.
  • Experience negotiating terms with prospective vendors from a procurement perspective
  • Proven experience managing financial operations: AP, AR, Treasury/Banking, Collections.
  • Highly proficient in the use of the Microsoft Excel and solid proficiency in the other Microsoft Office suite.
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Strong influencing, communication (written and verbal) and financial analysis skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to effectively manage priorities and projects in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Salary DescriptionCommensurate on experience; up to $110,000/yr
