About this role

The Marketing Content Creator and Copywriter is passionate about playing a critical marketing and communications role in the energy transition. The right candidate has excellent listening and critical thinking skills and the ability to translate sometimes complex or technical business concepts in writing and in a manner that is persuasive and easily understood by target audiences. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conceive, write, and facilitate approval of a variety of marketing materials for NORESCO, achieving alignment with messaging pillars and business processes associated with a Fortune 500 company. NORESCO’s needs for content creation include website pages, social media, emails, case studies, articles, press releases, ads and assets for other marketing or service channels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to craft and edit compelling content, often on tight deadlines. The role interacts with graphic design, sales, marketing, project development, engineering, public relations, legal, other partner professionals and customers to deliver the best results.
  • Help build NORESCO’s brand reputation and increase brand awareness on a national scale
  • Champion brand standards and editorial style and help NORESCO ensure quality, consistency and alignment across our communications channels and marketing assets
  • Practice quality assurance procedures at each deliverable stage to maintain content integrity, including substantiation of claims
  • Adopt new and existing technology to create, capture, store, deliver, and warehouse branded content
  • Support other marketing, communications, and sales administration tasks as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, advertising, marketing, or business administration
  • 2+ years of experience in a marketing or communications field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Agency experience a plus
  • Outstanding writing and editing skills that calibrate copy to the audience, medium and style format
  • Strong business acumen, critical thinking and processing skills to distill sometimes complicated business, technical or scientific concepts for mainstream communication
  • Ability to deliver results in a matrixed environment, often working remotely
  • Self-motivated and flexible mindset with an understanding of how to manage time, set priorities, and meet deadlines while working both independently and in a team setting
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, including persuasion and credibility
  • Strategic orientation with steadfast dedication to detail and business objectives
  • Sense of urgency and ownership, showing initiative, commitment, curiosity and confidence
  • Strong research and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to learn from experience for the betterment of the deliverable
  • Productivity and well-being in a workforce that is geographically dispersed across the United States and relies largely on digital communication.
  • Proficiency with software and digital marketing tools, which may include Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Salesforce.com and Mailchimp as well as new platforms when adopted
