DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Merchandising - Product Development
Downloading the details to sampling request from the database and generating workbook with all information needed to start sample execution. To go through the inventory charts on daily basis and ensure all the trims and fabrics are available for sampling.
Book the running materials if inventory is less than the standard minimum quantity. Review the samples before dispatching to ensure the right product is delivered to our customer.
Ensuring customer’s requirements are met by coordinating with other functional departments of product development center. Work out initial cost in development stage for each style & review with Supervisor accordingly.
Regular communication with buyer & other counter parts to ensure smooth functionality in all departments. Following up inbound & outbound logistics of trims & other related materials necessary to execute sampling.
Communicating with KBA & KBB merchandisers & providing them all the necessary information if & when required. Close all proto requests once the samples are shipped to US.
Assist Supervisor in planning the delivery time line and advise status to US merchandisers accordingly. Ensure that we are doing Testing in 1st sample and share the result with concern person if there is any failure.
Regularly update the bulk std status in the bulk std chart and share this with KBA merchandisers. Fabric / trim replenishment to ensure sample to make on time.Provide accurate initial costing to US counterpart.
Monitor daily work of junior member in the team to ensure instructions & guidelines are followed & delivery on time.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as textile or a related discipline.
5+ years of experience in textile field with a strong understanding of Woven Denim & garment.
Knowledge on garment wash will be added advantage
