Who we're looking for
4+ years of commercial experience as a Developer (in our core technologies), PM, or QA specialist.
English proficiency (minimum B2) for smooth team collaboration.
Freelancers with a one-person business entity (B2B cooperation).
Availability of 15-40 hours per week.
Great communicators and team players who are open to a variety of tasks within their project.

Monterail is building a network of LLM engineers who design, build, and integrate practical AI features into existing products. The company focuses on delivery-oriented AI engineering rather than ML research, helping clients add AI functionality to Python, Node.js, and Ruby codebases. They specialize in implementing LLM-powered features such as chat, summaries, classification, smart search, and document Q&A, as well as designing lightweight RAG pipelines with embeddings and vector search. Monterail works directly with clients on a freelance basis to integrate AI solutions that consider cost, latency, and reliability constraints, advising when and how to effectively leverage AI technology.
