The South College School of Nursing- Online Campus is accepting applications for an Administrative Coordinator. This position serves as a member of the School of Nursing. The key responsibility of this position is the planning, preparation, and successful execution of practicum placements for all online post-licensure nursing students. This position consults, collaborates and plans activities with the Associate Dean, Director of Online Operations, and Program Coordinators and with external practicum partners in which this position holds discretion, judgment, and the authority to make independent decisions on matters affecting management of student health directives, student practicum placement and practicum site management. This position explores and identifies new practicum sites, secures, and maintains current external contracts. This position works with the Associate Dean, Program Coordinators, and the Director of Online Operations to arrange specific practicum placements. This position is responsible for overseeing and follow-up of management of student data, student records, preceptor data, all evaluations, and summaries for the systematic evaluation plan for the Online nursing program. This position fully oversees and manages all clinical compliance data for students, assisting them through the Castle Branch process upon admissions. This position works collaboratively with the Director of Online Operations and the Associate Dean to assess, maintain and update all practicum health requirements, practicum criteria, and practicum hour logs.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with related experience preferred.
  • Effective practicum assignment and coordination techniques.
  • Knowledge in national state board of nursing licensing requirements for online practicum
  • Federal, state, local regulations related to health clearance requirements.
  • Admission policies and procedures, student advising procedures, registrar procedures.
  • Work remotely with travel required for Immersion experiences and College events.
  • Excellent communication and higher education knowledge with ability to:
  • Manage change.
  • Maintain professional relationships with practicum partners.
  • Navigate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Navigate remote meetings through Zoom and Teams software.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and managing time to meet established deadlines.
  • Management/leadership skills demonstrated to:
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders in the nursing online program coordination.
  • Make independent decisions in the development of approaches and techniques for solving problems.
  • Make decisions within the College's policies and procedures.
  • Make independent decisions following program initiatives and detailed procedures.
  • Think critically and make well-reasoned decisions.
  • Professionalism; Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and manage time to meet established deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and willing to take on new projects.
  • Emotional intelligence with communications with student, staff, administrators, clinical partners and all advisory board members.
  • Engage effectively with a diverse population.
  • Work independently.
  • Maintain record that contribute to State, and Accreditation requirements or Institutional Effectiveness Plans and Systematic Evaluation Plans.

Knowledge of: Castlebranch, Typhon, CampusNexus, NursingCAS, Canvas, Multi-State Board of Nursing and Licensure Practicum Placement System
