Ontario English Contributing Writer - Remote Work Opportunity

• Are you an experienced teacher of the Ontario English/Language Arts curriculum?
• Do you have a passion for planning and writing effective lessons?
• Do you have in-depth pedagogical knowledge and outstanding attention to detail?

We are looking for experienced teachers to support the development of high-quality, engaging resources for our new online Ontario G6-10 course, to support the new 2023 Ontario English/Language Arts curriculum for grades 6-9 and the existing Ontario English curriculum for grade 10.

In particular, we are looking for Contributing Writers to write comprehensive and curriculum-aligned lesson scripts for our online platform.

This opportunity might suit you if:

• You have at least 3+ years of teaching English in any of the relevant grades (6-10) in Ontario;
• You have a passion for the inclusion of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit perspectives and the diverse voices of Ontario, throughout all learning resources
• You are experienced in, and enjoy, writing your own educational resources;
• You can work independently and meet submission deadlines effectively and consistently;
• You are open to collaboration and receiving feedback on your written work.

Applicants should be able to commit 10-15 hours per week from mid-March 2024 to August 2024. Employment will be contract-based and we are able to offer $300-$350CAD per completed lesson script.
