People & Capability Lead - Pacific

What can you expect?

The People & Capability Lead oversees the provision of coaching, support and advice to People Managers, aiming to develop and enhance the quality of people management throughout the colleague lifecycle across the Pacific Region.

Working in partnership and collaboration with People Function colleagues you will be key to the coaching and upskill of People & Capability colleagues, driving project management principles through the team and Function, implementing change programs of work to improve our ways of working leading to improved colleague and people manager experience, and team engagement.

We will count on you to:

  • Play a key role in coaching People & Capability Managers to support and upskill in case management, project management and delivery and continuous improvement

  • Support Senior People Managers to deliver coaching, support and advice to enhance the colleague experience including management of complex ER matters

  • Provide strong project management discipline across key deliverables and bring the team and others in the People Function with you

  • Seek out and implement a range of continuous improvement activities to simplify People processes, team ways of working and improve colleague and people manager experience

  • Lead and oversee the delivery of a range of cyclical People function activities in partnership with COE’s, People Partners and People Services

  • Lead implementations across the team and ensure that any local market or business nuances are appropriately considered whilst respecting the value of enterprise-wide alignment where appropriate

  • Drive the use of metrics and analytics to inform solutions and priorities for change across the business

  • Work in proactive partnership with People Services, COEs and People Partners to ensure that local country and business needs are considered as part of development of global policy, process, communications and programs designed to benefit People Managers

What you need to have:

  • 7+ years' relevant experience in HR

  • Prior team leadership responsibility is preferable. Experience of coaching others is required

  • Demonstrated project management skills and experience applying agile and traditional waterfall methodologies

  • Experience of leading implementation changes at a regional or country level and adapting where needed in local markets

  • Confidence and experience to support business leaders, providing coaching and advice to resolve issues and agree forward actions required

  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships in a range of contexts

  • Demonstrated ability to plan with a business-wide perspective taking into account issues and considerations wider than the immediate business/country

  • Experience in using metrics and analytics to identify and deliver changes designed to improve performance

  • Strong influencing skills
