What We Are Researching
We are conducting a paid study on the role of physical contact and social touch in the care sector. Our goal is to understand daily care routines and examine how human-to-human interaction can be transferred to human-robot interaction. This research will help define safe, comfortable, and effective deployment opportunities for robotics in healthcare settings.
How It Works
You will participate in a remote interview to guide us through your typical care routines. We will ask you to describe the role that physical contact plays in your daily interactions with patients. You will also review and respond to conceptual scenarios involving care robots in healthcare settings. Finally, you will provide feedback on where robot-assisted support makes sense and where human touch remains irreplaceable.
Who This Is For
We welcome active nursing professionals, professional care workers, and nursing assistants with practical patient experience. Professionals working in hospitals, long-term care facilities, or home healthcare are expressly encouraged to apply. A strong understanding of daily physical patient care and bedside procedures is required for participation.
