Job Description

Lendi Group is looking for a mid-level engineer to join our Platform team. They're a small, tight and highly collaborative team working in a rapid and evolving DevSecMLOps environment. We like to have fun and we work hard at looking out for each other and solving difficult problems within the business. 

The Platform team builds cross-team tooling, bots and services that empower our Specialist and Product teams to deliver customer value efficiently and with quality and security in mind.

The team own most of the compute and data infrastructure (PaaS) around the core platforms that operate the www.lendi.com.au and www.aussie.com.au websites as well as internal websites used by staff.

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Manage a high performing & secure cloud environment (mostly AWS, bit of Azure)
  • Assisting with security initiatives within the teams to push security left within the org
  • Developing maintainable code (with tests!) that is suitable for continuous integration and deployment, following best practices and DevOps/Software guidelines
  • Collaborating with other cross-functional agile teams
  • Improve our platform by learning and implementing new technologies, fixing bugs and making improvements to how apps run in our environment.
  • Build & manage different tools to facilitate the way different product teams build on top of our platform
  • Automate whenever possible so it is easy to deploy to multiple environments & recover from errors
  • Supporting debugging, monitoring and alerting in the production and participating in incident response

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as a Software/Ops Engineer with hands-on coding experience
  • A passion for learning every day 
  • A desire to work evolving technologies, especially in the AI space
  • Experience working with configuration as code and CI/CD
  • Experience working with Cloud environments & knowledge of containers
  • A desire to make deployment & automation simple
  • Experience with monitoring/observability
  • Good listening skills & the ability to troubleshoot both individually and in a collaborative manner
  • A “You build it, you own it!” mentality

It would be great to bring, but is not required to have:

  • Experience working with IaC,  e.g. CloudFormation or Terraform
  • Experience with Node.js, Typescript, Python and Golang
  • Open-source contributions to public repos
