Insurance Operations is seeking a driven Accounting Associate. Come join our high-performing team focused on managing the customer financial flows in an industry leading business unit. Policy level reconciliation and reporting. Research and review of policy level accounting. Department representation on assigned projects. Root cause analysis with a high degree of solutioning. Output testing and rollout support on departmental initiatives including product releases. Develop and manage reoccurring and ad hoc reporting. Foster interdepartmental collaborations. Present department level perspective to a broad audience. Partner with leadership across the business to increase transparency an business continuity. Backup and support for daily reconciliation functions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years related experience.
- Knowledge of Accounting Practices.
- Ability to Analyze Data.
- Critical Thinking Skills.
- Time Management Skills.
- Written and Verbal Communication Skills.
- Ability to perform Advanced Data Analysis and interpretation.
- Proficient in Excel and data visualization tools.
- Must be able to use knowledge of best practices to improve processes and procedures.
- Role will require vast premium accounting knowledge as well as background knowledge across the entire NYL organization.
- Exhibit Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to shift quickly from project to project depending on the business need.
- Role will require managing projects and the people who will be leveraged to complete those projects.
- Must be able to use knowledge of best practices to improve processes and procedures.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Written & Verbal Communication Skills.
- Ability to lead meetings and work in a collaborative setting.
- Must be able to work independently and be a team player.

Salary range: $47,600-$70,000
