More than 13,000 customers, including Duracell, McDonald's, Shell, DHL and Volvo, use MaintainX to cut unplanned downtime and run better operations, across 13.9 million managed assets and 79.5 million completed work orders.

In August 2026 MaintainX became part of Autodesk, joining Autodesk Operations Solutions, the organization unifying Autodesk's operations platform alongside Tandem, FlexSim and Fusion Operations. Autodesk's strategy is to converge design, make and operate into one continuous lifecycle: design an asset, build it, run it, then feed what you learn running it back into the next design. You would join our Platform Engineering division's development team.

We are building an AI-native platform for our more than 150 internal developers, guided by a single question: does it reduce the time between idea and value creation, both for the teams building on our platform and for the customers they ultimately serve?

The smoothest path is the safest and fastest path, because the platform makes it the default. We chart the path that maximizes AI acceleration.

You will set the technical direction for how backend services are developed, deployed, and operated across the entire engineering organization, not just for a single team.

Vos responsabilités :

• Define the technical direction, governance, and architecture of the backend platform

• Integrate AI-native workflows into the core of the platform, transforming how the organization develops its services in collaboration with developers and agents

• Proactively identify cross-cutting technical challenges and drive their resolution before they become obstacles to delivery, working with multiple engineering teams

• Define and evolve platform-wide standards, patterns, and abstractions adopted by all teams

• Influence roadmap priorities by identifying trade-offs, highlighting opportunities, and fostering alignment across engineering, product, and analytics teams

• Drive adoption of changes across all teams, not just their implementation

• Mentor and develop senior engineers by helping them solve complex problems and make architectural decisions

• Handle ambiguity and lead complex, multi-team initiatives with minimal direction

• A distinctly AI-focused mindset: you have implemented AI-assisted workflows within a platform or organization, not just within your own workflow.

• Deep expertise in distributed systems, demonstrated by experience making architectural decisions with long-term, cross-organizational impact spanning multiple years

• In-depth knowledge of several key platform areas: cloud (AWS), infrastructure as code (IaC) (Terraform/Atmos), continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD), GraphQL federation, event-driven systems, APIs, and developer experience

• Expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, or similar languages, with a proven track record of establishing standards adopted by others.

• Proven cross-team impact: ability to transform how multiple teams develop, make decisions, or deliver their products.

• Proven ability to identify ambiguous technical problems and solve them with minimal supervision.

• Experience managing organizational complexity, coordinating stakeholders, and using data to demonstrate impact.

• Strong technical judgment combined with pragmatism: you know when to defend the right solution and when to move forward

• Flawless command of English, both spoken and written: you will lead platform engineering managers across multiple teams and present technical priorities to senior executive decision-makers.
