Genesys Cloud Event Data Platform team’s mission is to democratize CX data for internal teams and Genesys customers/partners. The Data Platform provides productized capabilities that enable our customers to structure and connect data ingested from 3rd party systems so it can be used for experience orchestration, advanced analytics, and predictive model training. Genesys provides rich data extraction capabilities that enable our partners and customers to export and analyze CX data in their own Data Warehouses, such as Redshift or Snowflake.
As the Principal Product Manager, you will be a key contributor to Genesys Cloud’s Event Data Platform mission. You will be responsible for an area of our data platform product roadmap, including defining, designing, delivering, and scaling products that enhance our data capabilities working with both internal/external customers and partners. As a part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will be expected to work cross-functionally with both internal and external product/engineering teams and business/partner leaders. Your business acumen and technical skills will be critical in helping Genesys further its leadership position in customer experience orchestration with strong data platform capabilities.
An ideal candidate is someone with a Product Management background in Data Management, Advanced Analytics, and/or Business Intelligence or proven experience with data warehousing and data integration using the AWS ecosystem. You will have deep understanding of data warehouses (Redshift, Snowflake) and/or customer data platforms (Segment, Salesforce), be familiar with concepts like Zero-ETL, and have a proven track record of successfully driving data products from concept to market.
Key responsibilities
Lead product roadmap to develop services that enable data extraction to third party data warehouses, such as Redshift or Snowflake, and Customer Data Platforms (Salesforce).
Work directly with customers and partners to understand their data needs and translate them to clear requirements and priorities for the engineering team.
Collaborate with other product managers to establish the right operational standards, consistency in developing recommendations around customer profiles and framework for orchestrating workflows.
Establish priorities, drive, and measure progress on activities.
Drive usage of the Genesys Event Data Platform through communication and enablement.
Minimum Requirements
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Analytics, Statistics, Applied Math, or any other related field.
Over 8 years of prior relevant experience working with data products.
Strong familiarity with at least one of the leading data warehousing technologies: e.g., Redshift or Snowflake.
Strong technical skills and ability to work with data hands-on (e.g., schema definition).
Strong organizational skills and experience managing cross functional project teams.
Proven ability to communicate to a technical and non-technical audience.
Desirable skills
8+ years of experience with data analytics and/or data engineering.
Familiarity with the AWS ecosystem is a plus.
Previous engineering experience is a plus.
Experience in Cloud solutions and operations.
Experience in collecting competitive intelligence, market requirements and developing strategies and business cases per market segments.
Understanding of the Agile Development and Enterprise Processes
