💧 About Pallon

At Pallon, a spin-off from ETH Zurich, we’re creating AI that automatically detects defects in sewer inspection videos and advises cities on when & how to fix them. By providing more precise, objective data, we aim to fix wastewater leaks, reduce CO2 emissions, and prevent urban flooding. Our mission is to make cities more sustainable and resilient.

As Pallon’s first Product Manager you will be responsible for setting up processes and systems from scratch. We’re looking for someone with a strong product intuition who can confidently validate features to ensure they achieve the expected outcome and impact while working iteratively, quickly and with limited resources. Most importantly we want someone with a high-drive who likes to get their hands dirty and gets things done.

💪 Your role

We're a fast growing company and the problems you will face are often challenging and diverse. Some of the tasks you'll be working on are:

  • Setup end-to-end product development processes from scratch and adequate for our stage

  • Confidently implement the right tooling to fast-track our product development.

  • Clearly define requirements, ensure things get delivered quickly and achieve the desired impact.

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate value and viability risks, and coordinate regarding usability and technical feasibility risks.

  • Collaborate and coordinate our Machine Learning, Design and Platform teams.

🎯 Requirements
  • Proven Experience in Product Management: Extensive experience with complex, technical products, demonstrating strong ownership and precise requirement definition.

  • Startup Leadership: Previous role as the first Product Manager in a successful startup, showcasing autonomy, iterative work with limited resources, and decision-making in uncertain environments.

  • Delivery-Focused Approach: Ability to balance speed and quality, with a keen sense of necessary detail level and strong product intuition.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Skilled in deriving strategic insights from both quantitative and qualitative data, including conducting user research for product improvement.

  • Project Management: Expertise in de-risking, simplifying, and prioritizing projects efficiently.

  • Resilience under Pressure: Remaining structured and composed in fast-paced settings.

  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal skills, with a preference for clear, concise, and logical data-supported communication. Comfortable with asynchronous collaboration and working with diverse teams.

  • Adaptability: Thriving in chaotic and fast-paced environments; capable of high-quality, rapid decision-making.

  • Independence and Team Spirit: Highly autonomous and driven, yet inquisitive, humble, and open to seeking assistance when necessary.
