Principal Software Developer II (Remote)

Reporting To: Manager Software Development


Description

Everi is looking for an experienced Software Developer Principal with Java, Cassandra, and NoSQL and database experience.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Participates in creating architectural guidelines with technical leadership and investigates industry best practices and innovations when developing product.
  • Designs, develops, and modifies complex quality software applications by applying fundamental computer science techniques.
  • Mentors and leads technical activities.
  • Leads creative problem solving and participates in product design.
  • Works independently with little direction.
  • Actively participates in code validation and code reviews.
  • Actively participates in process improvement activities and monitors process adherence.
  • Responsible for on-time deliveries of multiple tasks as set by management.
  • Documents all aspects of written code, including how to build and use software.
  • Identifies and creates complex shareable solutions with cross functional teams improving effectiveness, quality, and efficiency.
  • Escalates concerns, anticipates roadblocks, and creates possible solutions.
  • Assists in preparing project estimates and provides feedback on less experienced team members.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge, & Expertise Needed for the Job:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a combination of education and equivalent work experience in a related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience with object-oriented programming languages, including Java, Cassandra.
  • Database experience, NoSQL experience.
  • Passion for creating and playing games.
  • Automation and reusable coding experience
  • Object Oriented Design
  • Design pattern knowledge.
One or more of the nice to have's below.

Nice to haves:
  • Experience with Webservices, Phyton, and REST API
  • Knowledge of UI events
  • Phyton
  • Working in Windows environment
  • Working in Cloud, Azure.

A reasonable estimate of the current range is$ 127,000- $ 148,200 annually.
