Job Description

About Us

IHG Hotels & Resorts is one of the largest hotel companies in the world with a family of 19 brands including InterContinental®, Holiday Inn®, Kimpton® and voco®. Approximately 350,000 people work across IHG’s hotels and our corporate offices in 100+ countries.

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Specialist to join our Global Procurement Team, supporting the UK&I region. You will be tasked with delivering real benefit to IHG through optimising our supplier relationships and commercial deals for the defined Business Cluster.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Provide daily support to the UK&I Hotel Procurement team and all cluster stakeholders including UK&I Managed Hotels, including P2P (Procure to Pay) and supplier management.
  • Execute category management, sourcing, demand management and continuous improvement projects to meet business goals and cost savings to hotels and owners.
  • Manage supplier rationalisation, compliance, and relationships, ensuring a centralised preferred supplier list.
  • Prioritise and deliver projects within agreed timelines, operating within the PaCE model.
  • Maintain effective stakeholder communication and update reporting tools as required.

What we need from you

Ideally you will come from a hotel/hospitality background and will have experience across several categories. If you are a confident and strategic thinker as well as being a “do-er” and enjoy rolling your sleeves up then this role will suit you.

We are seeking a highly organised and analytical candidate with experience in procurement and supply chain roles, who has successfully managed sourcing projects and negotiated contracts for commercial deals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement processes, demonstrated influencing and negotiation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent communication skills are essential, with a preference for candidates who are fluent in French.

What we offer you

At IHG we give our colleagues greater flexibility and balance – working in a hybrid way, blending remote and office working. Although we thrive on collaborating in person, we expect that you’re likely to spend time working remotely. Every role is different, and colleagues work with their team and their leader to determine how and when they collaborate in person. We like to believe we offer a unique culture where you have room to be yourself.

IHG gives every member of the team the room they need to belong, grow, and make a difference in a collaborative environment. We know that to work well, we need to feel well – both inside and outside of work – and through our myWellbeing framework, we are committed to supporting wellbeing in your health, lifestyle, and workplace.

Closing date for applications: 30/08/2023

At IHG, we’ve made a promise. As one of the world’s leading hotel groups, we’re here to deliver True Hospitality for Good. Making our guests and colleagues feel welcome, cared for, recognised and respected – wherever they are in the world. Want to be part of the journey?
