What you'll be doing in the role of a Project Lead

The Project Lead, Pharma & Life Sciences is a member of the Corporate Partnerships team. The focus of the role is to implement processes and systems and to provide project management for the Pharma & Life Sciences team. Candidate must effectively provide administrative support, data management, stakeholder engagement and prospect research, all contributing to the organization’s overarching goals and mission. Working under the direction of the Manager, Pharma & Life Sciences, this position ensures that the strategic initiatives and business objectives of both Susan G. Komen and its partners are successfully achieved.

What you will bring to the table

The primary objective of the Project Lead, Pharma & Life Sciences is to support Susan G. Komen in achieving our overall Vision and Mission by:

  • Contributing to the organization’s annual fundraising goal by supporting the Directors and Senior Director with dynamic partnerships that raise significant revenue to support the mission and strengthen the Komen brand.
  • Serves as a project manager for the pharma and life sciences team by leading and managing projects and portfolios in Asana and JIRA and through efficient management of partner folders on SharePoint.
  • Support internal and external meetings with key stakeholders by supporting Directors with preparation, including but not limited to comprehensive meeting briefs.
  • Responsible for conducting prospect research and submitting due diligence to prospective pharma and life science companies. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all relevant information.
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to Directors and Senior Director. Lead administrative projects including managing prospect lists and related tasks.
  • Responsible for all financial coding, reconciliation, requesting partner invoices and filing executed contracts. Adhere to procurement and contract policies.
  • Drive strong data management for the pharma and life sciences team by entering data and extracting reports from Salesforce and Asana. Ensure accuracy and integrity of all data.

We already know you will also have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Public Health, Chemistry, or other related life science fields.
  • Solid communications and writing skills.
  • Organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to create spreadsheets including formulas and creation of reports from applicable database.
  • Team-oriented nature.
  • 3-5 years of related work experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both oral and written; research, develop, present, and promote projects; work independently; prioritize work and meet deadlines.

And we would love if you also have

  • Experience utilizing Asana, Salesforce, and Microsoft applications.
  • Project Management certification.
  • Experience in operations, sponsor relations, account management, project management for a nationally recognized company or non-profit organization.
