Build the Future of EV Infrastructure: Python API Developer (FastAPI & Cloud Run) - Juice (Remote - US/EU)

Juice is a pioneering computer vision startup transforming the EV charging and parking experience. We're looking for a talented Python developer (Junior or Senior level) to join our growing team and play a pivotal role in building and maintaining the API backend that powers our innovative platform.
In this role, you'll leverage your expertise in FastAPI and Cloud Run to develop secure, scalable, and high-performance APIs that connect various components of our platform. You'll collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and data scientists to ensure our APIs meet the needs of our users and support future growth.
What You'll Do (Tailored for experience level):
For Junior Developers:
Work alongside senior developers to gain experience in designing, developing, and testing APIs using FastAPI.
Contribute to the implementation of new API functionalities based on technical specifications.
Assist with writing unit and integration tests to ensure API quality and reliability.
Learn and implement best practices for API development, security, and documentation.
For Senior Developers:
Independently design, develop, and deploy robust and scalable APIs using FastAPI.
Lead the development process for specific API functionalities, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Integrate with various backend services and databases to provide seamless data flow through the APIs.
Work with the CTO to deploy and monitor API performance on Google Cloud Run.
What You Bring (Common for both levels):
Proven experience developing Python applications (2+ years for Junior, 4+ years for Senior).
Extensive experience with FastAPI for building high-performance APIs.
Familiarity with Cloud Run or other serverless deployment platforms (a plus).
Strong understanding of RESTful API principles and design patterns.
Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, unittest).
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Passion for clean energy and the future of sustainable transportation (a plus).
Bonus Points (For both levels):
Experience with cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Knowledge of database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).
A strong understanding of security best practices for APIs.
