Job Description

Who We Are

Eezy is a rapidly growing tech brand that simplifies the creative process. Our products include stock images and video footage, an online graphic design editor, and custom design services. Eezy currently serves millions of monthly active users, from 150+ countries in 7 languages.

Our award-winning team is passionate, supportive, and resourceful. Since 2010, we’ve democratized design by breaking down walls that separate curious people from creating something extraordinary.

We believe all people are creative. Our mission is to provide tools today that allow people to build ideas that inspire and improve tomorrow.

About the Role

Our Quality Assurance (QA) Engineers have a special responsibility at Eezy - to think like our customers in a manner that is mindful of our business goals. At its heart, this job helps us to ensure we are shipping high-quality, bug-free software to our users. We do this through a combination of manual and automated testing routines.

There are a few personality attributes of individuals that really thrive in our QA engineering roles. If you see yourself in these, we should probably talk:

  • You're comfortable with multiple competing tasks in your backlog and comfortable speaking up and asking which one should be your priority.
  • You value empathy and emotional courage and will speak up when you see something that's wrong for our customers or business.
  • You're collaborative, laid back and don't take yourself too seriously. You enjoy working within a cross-functional pod of 6-8 people, all located remotely.
  • You're able to maintain healthy work/life boundaries to ensure you work at a sustainable pace. You take ownership and pride in your accomplishments, but know we are in it for the long haul.
  • You are nimble and able to change direction quickly when the need arises.

Requirements

We believe that having a great attitude, exhibiting awesome communication skills, and being a genuinely nice person to be around are a lot tougher to teach than hard skills.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience testing applications, or equivalent education
  • Experience in bug finding and resolution
  • Experience with QA automation / E2E testing, a plus for experience with Playwright
  • Experience with Git
  • Experience with Javascript/typescript
  • Effective, clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to think critically and from a customer's point of view
  • Jira and/or similar ticket tracking system experience
  • Experience in Agile software development or digital product development

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the regular Scrum rhythms of one development pod. Work to understand the work the team is engaged in and then identify and mitigate risks associated with the planned features.
  • Identify and replicate quality issues in non-production environments and then communicate your findings, potential resolutions and workarounds to the development team.
  • Work with the development team and product manager to plan, schedule and perform manual and automated software tests.
  • Communicate results of software testing efforts to the rest of the team through test reports and Jira.
  • Report on the status of assigned tasks and testing efforts to managers and business stakeholders.
  • Identify, record, and thoroughly document bugs and defects.
  • Assist fellow QA Engineers with projects and day-to-day QA functions.

Benefits

  • Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental Vision)
  • Retirement Plan (401k, IRA)
  • Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary ADD)
  • Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick Public Holidays)
  • Family Leave (Maternity, Paternity)
  • Short Term Long Term Disability
  • Training Development
  • Work From Home
