About the team and role

Our Recruitment team focuses on empowering Wealthsimple to engage and hire exceptional talent across a variety of different technical and non-technical teams. As a Recruiting Coordinator, you'll be an integral part of this team, working closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and interviewers to own projects that impact the candidate and interviewer experience, and continuously monitor processes to look for efficiencies.

Within 3 months, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Learn about the foundations of Wealthsimple, and our current goals for the future.
  • Dive into our recruitment tech stack to fully understand our tooling.
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews, working closely with recruiters and hiring teams.
  • Start identifying and addressing issues that impact the hiring process and candidate coordination, offering ideas to streamline our processes.
  • Track coordination processes and interviewer efficiencies.

Within 6 months, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Continue supporting the recruitment cycle, from high-volume scheduling to ensuring an exceptional candidate experience is provided throughout the entire process.
  • Provide input into how we build out hiring processes, document them, and scale them for different teams.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving acumen and creativity to refine and develop processes.
  • Scale and automate interviewing reports and dashboards to provide decision makers with data driven insights.

Within 12 months, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Create training programs for team members, interviewers and hiring managers on reporting, processes, systems, and best practices.
  • Research and evaluate tooling to create operational and interviewer efficiencies.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Takes a human-centric approach to their work. You want to be a resource for candidates, recruiters, and interviewers.
  • Has unmatched documentation and organizational skills. You excel at prioritizing when given multiple projects and your attention to detail is second to none.
  • Brings a mind geared toward logistics and managing communications and expectations across a diverse blend of personalities and people at all levels of the organization.
  • Loves tackling the most difficult challenges and knows how to get to the best solution. You are constantly looking at how to improve processes and have the perspective to drive those improvements forward.
  • Enjoys executing on highly complex administrative projects and events.
  • Has experience with (or is interested in learning!) recruitment tooling (we use GoodTime for most of our coordination).
