ClassificationFor Our Future recognizes a staff bargaining unit, affiliated with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) 494, a labor union. This position is NOT included in the For Our Future bargaining unit.
About the RoleThe Recruitment Manager will develop, and implement effective recruiting strategies to attract and hire a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent within the state of Pennsylvania. This position will work closely with the in-state Human Resources Manager.
This position runs through at least November 14, 2024.

Essential Functions

  • Manage the follow-up with job candidates throughout the hiring process
  • Maintain and update hiring trackers to reflect the current status of job candidates throughout the hiring process
  • Extend written offers to job candidates
  • Update state organizing staff and HQ support staff on the status of new hires on a daily basis
  • Assist in recruitment efforts for canvasser positions across the commonwealth of PA
  • Provide support as needed in the interview process with job candidates
  • Assist with onboarding of new employees
  • Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, required.
  • At least 2 years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
  • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.

The compensation for this position may be based on experience and comes with a comprehensive benefits package.

Expected Hours of Work

  • Normal hours of business are from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM est Monday thru Saturday, however employees may be required to work outside of normal business hours including weekends and nights.
  • Employees are required to abide by certain blackout dates during a campaign cycle or other key deadlines, and generally not allowed to take off during blackout periods. Emergencies are not affected by this policy.


Work EnvironmentThis position is currently remote and will have a remote option until further notice. Employees will therefore work and interact primarily in a virtual environment for the duration of this temporary position, unless extended.
