Boeing is currently seeking a Regional Manager (Supplier Quality) to join our fully virtual team. In this role you will be responsible to lead an organization and group of suppliers.

This position has been identified as a virtual work opportunity which requires the ability to work from home unless on travel.

Candidate must have ability to travel both domestically and internationally up to 40% – with short notice and for extended periods, anywhere in the world and for potentially extended periods of time. (Must obtain and possess current passport).

Position Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the management of the Regional SQ Team. This involves day to day management of resources to ensure the defined work statement is adequately and timely resourced and that all activities are executed to plan.
  • Empowers the Team Leaders to manage and lead the team, through delegation of responsibility to the point where it can be most effective.
  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies.
  • Ensures compliance to Boeing policies, procedures, budgetary and regulatory requirements, and ensures that travel and operational budgets perform to the required limits and targets.
  • Provides education and coaching on improving Quality System, and also identifies training and development needs within the team.
  • Works with the team to identify capability gaps and builds plans to develop individuals into these roles as part of the Personal Development plan process.
  • Encourages the team to lead process improvements in SQ and across the supply chain where applicable.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports.
  • Engages when required with in-Country Boeing leadership, on teams and sub-committees, giving advice on the supply chain quality performance at a strategic level.
  • Manages, develops, and motivates employees.
  • Leads by example on safety, ethics and diversity awareness.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 12+ years of industry experience along with 7+ years of relevant experience with class-leading global organizations.
  • Quality experience within the Aerospace industry.
  • Management/Leadership experience.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Degree with experience in the engineering, quality, and or manufacturing classifications.
  • Ability to lead a virtual team.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentational skills that will be tested in person and virtually.
  • Ability to work under pressure and within deadlines.
  • Strength of character to enforce high expectations for quality commitments.
  • Ability to build and execute plans to meet performance expectations
  • Highly organized
