As RegionalPayroll Specialist with German you will be accountable to execute the payroll function Alcon associates. Accountable for executing high quality and accurate service to associates and Alcon in adherence with the Payroll Service Center service levels (SLAs), key process, and operational metrics (KPIs).
In this role, a typical day will include:
- Process and execute monthly Payroll processes
- Create and/or maintain various payroll reports. Liaise / work with the local HR Department.
- Support legally required processes in close collaboration with authorities (e.g. tax provider)
- Provide support in international equity- and incentive-relevant statements and Warrants etc, to ensure correct taxation and build accruals accordingly
- Work closely with FRA on reconciliation and financial reporting
- Perform Payroll Audits and Controls as per checklist
- Collect, review and aggregate payroll data inputs from multiple upstream sources (automated and non-automated) for assigned country payrolls
- Monitor supplier payroll processing and compliance activities and review outputs for completeness and accuracy
- Respond to inquiries/requests in line with agreed service levels and case management processes
- Handle more complex and/or confidential inquiries/requests and assume ownership of transferred/escalated issues from Team Members
- Work closely with other functional areas to gather payroll inputs efficiently and effectively (e.g., Timekeeping, Benefits, Compensation, etc.)
- Deliver data / reports to downstream users (e.g., Finance, third parties, statutory authorities) on an accurate and timely basis
- Request funding of payroll, payroll taxes and other third party payments, as applicable; ensure Treasury receives and acts upon requests
- Work effectively with other Alcon functional areas and third party payroll supplier(s) to seamlessly deliver end-to-end payroll services

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
- Passion for payroll operations function and curiosity for details
- Fluency in English and German
- Experience with foreign payroll/s systems in particular with the German one
- Minimum 1 year of experience in payroll processing, either in in-house or outsourced model
- Excellent customer service behavior (role model)
- Positive attitude and ability to work in fast-paced project environment
- Time Management expertise and experience, Kronos experience a plus
- Transition experience is a plus
- Effective use of technology, resource material, websites and payroll supplier tools to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll
- Ability to provide easy-to-use and -understand information to Alcon’s employees on payroll processes and payroll results, as indicated on the employee pay statement
