Job Title: RTHM Nurse Practitioner (Contractor – Part-Time Remote)

Compensation: From $80.00 per hour + Competitive Benefits

Job Type: Contractor, Part-Time, with the option to transition to Full-Time employment (including equity stake after 6 months)

RTHM is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Board Certified Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in integrating research into clinical care for complex illnesses, focusing on understanding and treating long COVID/PASC and ME/CFS.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Neurology, Cardiology, PM&R, Primary Care, or Functional Medicine. Additional training in Functional Medicine is highly desirable.
• Active license in California or New York, with additional state telehealth or full licenses as an added advantage.
• A genuine passion for RTHM’s mission, coupled with a curiosity and enthusiasm for learning and expanding knowledge in Long COVID/PASC and ME/CFS.
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively, and a commitment to reaching out for support on patient cases when necessary.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, adapt interaction styles for those with cognitive impairments or sensitivities, and tactfully maintain boundaries to manage consultation times effectively.
• Open-mindedness and a thoughtful approach to treating evolving, multi-symptom illnesses without preconceived notions.
• Flexibility and comfort with working in a dynamic telemedicine environment and contributing to the evolving culture of a healthcare/research startup.
• Proficient computer skills, including typing, email, web-based research, Slack, and the ability to navigate multiple browser or provider interface windows. Familiarity with Cerbo EMR is a plus.

Optional:

• Possession of multiple state licenses.
• Experience in research studies or clinical trials.
• Residency in Neurology, Cardiology, PM&R (Physiatry), Primary Care, or Functional Medicine.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive, remote care to patients through our online video-based platform, including triage, diagnosis, treatment planning, and coordination with the RTHM team.
• Engage in detailed review and analysis of patient data, including vitals, symptom tracking, medication tracking, and novel laboratory data, adapting treatment plans as necessary.
• Foster a positive patient experience through quality telemedicine interactions, clear communication, and timely responses to patient inquiries.
• Actively participate in giving and receiving feedback on individual patient cases and overall workflows, contributing to continuous improvement in patient care and provider portal usability.
