Position Summary:

The Research Analyst’s primary responsibility is to research and remediate gaps in our data collection processes. They will develop expert knowledge of these data assets to innovate on quality control, data capture and quality from an automation perspective.

Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:(This is NOT meant to be an exhaustive task list)

  • Identify highly regarded thought leaders in specific therapeutic fields across multiple data sources including major social media platforms, PubMed, clinical trials registries, congress/event websites.
  • Skills with navigating major social networks (Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok) to evaluate and collect impactful thought leader information.
  • Apply analytical thinking to quantitatively and qualitatively evaluate though leader impact and relevance, by defining objective KPIs.
  • Develop standardized research formats and collection process optimal for use in automated systems.
  • Have knowledge of healthcare/life science industry field and terminology, and willingness to stay on top of market trends and news.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to provide innovative solutions for ad-hoc research-based needs.
  • Collaborate with US-based teams to review data output.
  • Document and organize knowledge base of research and analysis processes.
  • Prepare periodic data insight summaries suitable for client review.
  • Research new life science product data from multiple data sources including, but not limited to the FDA, NIH, Elsevier, MMIT, & DRG
  • Research and remediate internally identified data quality issues for foundational data assets
  • Research, document, classify oncology treatment pathway data in established data models
  • Prepare monthly assessments of targeted therapeutic areas supporting the Vantage product
  • Apply quality assurance best practices
  • Maintain knowledge base for conducting research and associated decision making processes

Qualifications:

Minimum Required:

  • Master’s degree required in Life Sciences, Computer Science, Electronics, Software Engineering, or related discipline
  • 1-3 years experience interpreting US life science agency (e.g. FDA, NCCN, etc.) oncology data
  • 2-3 years relevant work experience (relevant internships will be considered)
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Experience working with medium to large data sets
  • Strong MS Office Suite Skills
  • High level of MS Excel proficiency including formulas and data tools
  • Internet search engines and proficiencies in developing queries

Other Required:

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, including ability to present technical concepts to lay audiences, write analysis plans for projects, pitch ideas and influence internal stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to work both collaboratively to solve complex problems and individually to research/advance areas of interest and exploration

Preferred:

  • Author / co-author of life sciences white papers/blogs/insights focused on oncology
  • Experience supporting Data and Analytics or SaaS-based enterprise products
  • Experience in managed markets and pharma market access ecosystem
  • Knowledge of payer marketing, drug development lifecycle and drug launch processes
  • Knowledge of oncology treatment pathways/paradigms
