About the Team & Role:
At TikTok, our Global Business Solutions (advertising) team plays a key role in generating revenue by promoting our advertising solutions, onboarding new clients, driving effective ad campaigns, and more. As the TikTok community grows at an unprecedented speed around the world, our GBS team leads groundbreaking projects that are changing the landscape of the advertising industry in real time. The global Monetization Integrity team ensures TikTok users have a safe experience while viewing advertisements. They work closely with advertisers to create ad policies, manage content review processes, and more. The team is critical in assuring a joyful and creative ads experience for the community. The Risk Policy Manager serves these teams by addressing key advertiser-level risk concerns at a platform, on a product, process and policy perspective. You will create policies for advertisers that can ensure they have good integrity at TikTok. Additionally, you will increase efficiency in ad processes, improve risk governance, and expand co-governance collaboration with key MI stakeholders. As a Risk Policy Manager, you will support this mission by understanding advertisers' integrity behavior, providing subject matter expertise, and project management leadership in order to build long term strategy and respond, from a policy perspective, to emergent risks posing a risk to TikTok's business at a regional and global level. This team will lead MI policy risk and integrity wide efforts to develop a platform-holistic risk strategy with objectives aligned at the TikTok level, and in line with current and future regulatory trends. As such, you will serve as a subject matter expert on advertiser risk to TikTok's advertising business both internally and externally. Policy Managers within this team require excellent problem-solving skills, a high understanding of risks associated with advertiser content, an enthusiasm for identifying and managing remedies for gaps in policies and existing risk control mechanisms from conception to completion. TikTok currently observes a hybrid working policy of 3 days in the office each week and 2 days working remotely. This position is full-time and based out of our NYC, New York office.
Responsibilities:
- Spearhead end-to-end Policy Development, Policy Enforcement, and Escalation Management for emerging Policy issues related to actor
- Indentify gaps in the integrity space to write global policies focused on advertiser behavior, cascade these policies to MI, ensuring compliance with DSA and transparency principles, and monitor policy application performance
- Ensure policies created are in line with TikTok goals and values, and other players in the industry
- Build and implement global processes and structures to increase efficiency and scalability of risk controls and policy deployment
- Collaborate with regional and global operations teams, to ensure project success, including communicating regularly with stakeholders to keep them informed of project progress, risks, and issues
- Smoothly manage changes to project scope, schedule, and ensure that change requests are appropriately initiated, reviewed, and approved
- Provide consultation to Integrity leadership on related subjects,including advertiser behavior, policy gaps, risk trends, and emergent threats
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience in Risk, Compliance, Public Policy, and/or Advertising Policy
- Experience in technology, matrixed and fast-paced environments, risk prevention and identification, intelligence and/or analysis.
- Experience in developing project plans, roadmaps, and ability to lead and manage internal and external project teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to collaborate, foster relationships and work cross-functionally, especially with diverse global teams in numerous time zones.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to drive consensus building and decision making for senior leadership
- Ability to identify and solve complex problems.

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $120000 - $140000 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
