The Safety Risk Lead provides oversight and training on the operational safety of the Milestone IBOS Logistics Service ensuring adherence to OSHA requirements and guidelines. This individual is responsible for the ongoing safety of the Milestone IBOS Logistics Service and aligns Safety and Training compliance with Statement of Work (SOW) responsibilities, while meeting expected standards of Operational Safety.
How You Will Make an Impact:
- Lead the Safety focus, root cause analysis and mitigation across North America.
- Ensure root cause analysis is completed within 72-hours for all Safety Incidents.
- Analyze the Safety Observations to predict areas of concern, training needs, and to ensure incident avoidance.
- Motivate, inspire, and encourage team members, as well as cross-functional teams, to execute safely.
- Partner with internal teams and Client to produce a best-in-class service.
- Recommend improvements to systems and processes to identify areas of service improvement and best utilization of resources.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis as well as regular business reviews to support decision making.
- Understand the business needs for Safety and Training requirements of the client to improve data systems and develop new reporting methods to provide better business visibility.
- Plan your work to ensure operational commitments are achieved.
- Collaborate on cross-functional operational initiatives.
- Identify process and systems gaps and partner with Milestone and Client operations to drive Safety and Training results.
- Support the continuous development of operational services on site.
What you will need to Succeed:
- Minimum 3+ years Leadership Experience with IT Service Delivery Management or Logistics and Supply Chain Management environments.
- Effective professional communication skills, verbal, and written
- Safety and Training focus
- OSHA Safety and Health Fundamentals Certificate preferred
- Hazardous Materials training and certification
- Problem-solving capabilities
- Customer Relationship Management focus
- Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative or part of a remote team
- Proficient in the use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
- Foundation in Project Management would be an advantage
- Successful Project Management or ITIL services experience.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or equivalent work experience preferred
- OSHA: Safety & Health Fundamentals Certificate Program preferred
