Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Engineer with a background in IT, manufacturing, or a related industry. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical acumen and the ability to effectively communicate complex technical solutions to both technical and non-technical clients. This role requires a blend of sales expertise and technical knowledge to support the sales team in achieving revenue goals. This position starts off as fully onsite with work transitioning in the future to part travel (up to 40%) and fully remote days when not traveling.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical Sales Support:
  • Provide technical expertise and support to the sales team during the sales process.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to prospective clients.
  • Develop and deliver technical proposals, solutions, and cost estimates based on customer requirements.
  • Customer Engagement:
  • Identify and understand customer needs and requirements through direct interaction and consultation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
  • Act as a technical liaison between the customer and internal teams, including engineering and product development.
  • Solution Development:
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to develop customized solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Ensure proposed solutions are feasible and align with the company's capabilities and product offerings.
  • Prepare detailed technical documentation, including specifications, diagrams, and project plans.
  • Sales Strategy and Execution:
  • Assist in the development and execution of sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Participate in sales meetings, trade shows, and industry events to promote the company’s products and services.
  • Provide feedback to product development teams based on customer input and market trends.
  • Training and Support:
  • Conduct training sessions for clients and internal sales teams on product features, applications, and benefits.
  • Provide post-sales technical support to ensure customer satisfaction and successful implementation of solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to product performance and usage.
