We're looking for a Salesforce Communications Cloud Order Management Architect for a 12-month contract engagement running in the ANZ time zone. You'll be leading the architecture and design of order management solutions built on Communications Cloud, covering order capture, decomposition, orchestration, and fulfilment across a telco product stack.
The role is remote-friendly, but we have a preference for candidates based in ANZ. If you're outside the region, you'll need to be comfortable with ANZ business hours and open to travel when the project requires it.
We need someone who has designed and delivered Communications Cloud OM end-to-end, not someone who has worked adjacent to it. You should be able to walk us through real projects, the decisions you made, and the problems you solved.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Order Management Architecture
Own the end-to-end order management architecture on the Communications Cloud platform
Design order capture, decomposition, and orchestration flows across complex telco product scenarios
Define the order fulfilment framework including fallout handling, jeopardy management, and order tracking
Architect the integration between order management and upstream CPQ and downstream BSS/OSS systems OmniStudio & Platform Design
Lead the design of OmniStudio components supporting order flows (OmniScripts, DataRaptors, Integration Procedures, FlexCards)
Define orchestration logic and state management across the order lifecycle
Ensure the OM architecture aligns with the broader Communications Cloud platform design including EPC and CPQ Technical Leadership
Provide architectural governance across the OM workstream
Guide developers on order management configuration, customisation patterns, and integration design
Review technical decisions and enforce design standards across the delivery team
Define deployment and environment strategy for the OM components Stakeholder Management
Lead architecture workshops and design sessions with business and technical stakeholders
Present order management architecture options and trade-offs clearly to both technical teams and business decision-makers
Produce architecture documentation that is detailed enough for the delivery team to work from
Collaborate with CPQ, EPC, and integration workstream leads to keep the architecture cohesive WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Must-Have
Specific and demonstrable Salesforce Communications Cloud Order Management architecture experience, with real projects you can walk through in detail
Deep understanding of order decomposition, orchestration, and fulfilment patterns within Communications Cloud
Proven experience designing fallout handling, jeopardy management, and order lifecycle state management
Strong OmniStudio skills at an architecture and oversight level
Experience integrating Communications Cloud OM with external BSS/OSS systems
Based in ANZ, or able to commit to ANZ hours and travel when needed Technical Depth
Telco order management concepts: order types, service provisioning, activation flows, and network fulfilment integration
Integration architecture between Communications Cloud OM and external systems (REST/SOAP, Integration Procedures, middleware, event-driven patterns)
Data architecture and large data volume considerations in an order management context
Security model design and platform governance for OM environments
DevOps and deployment practices for Communications Cloud Preferred Certifications
Salesforce Certified OmniStudio Developer or Consultant
Salesforce Certified Communications Cloud Accredited Professional
Salesforce Certified Application Architect or Technical Architect
Salesforce Platform Developer I / II
Experience working across the full Communications Cloud stack including EPC and CPQ
Background in a consulting or SI environment
Agile or SAFe delivery experience at scale
Specific project examples that show what you architected in OM, the complexity you dealt with, and the decisions you made
Relevant certifications that back up your hands-on experience
Availability to start within 2 to 4 weeks
