Job Summary
Provide Basis Security administration for the SAP landscape (S4, BW, BObj, etc.). Manage and monitor system security administration and service performance. Design and maintain security roles and authorizations related to modules including position based security for HCM, FI and MM and any other modules the City enables. During the City’s transition to SuccessFactors (SF) EC and ECP expected within the next 18 months, work with internal and external resources to support the security transition from HCM position based security within the ERP to SF role based permissions within SF for related HR functionality and processes. Provide technical leadership and guidance to Information Technology and business units.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with City resources to design and implement a scalable security framework for SAP including S4, BW and Business Objects environments
- Design, configure and maintain roles and authorizations and support user administration and position based security
- Work with IT Enterprise Business Solutions (EBS) functional resources and City business teams to implement and enhance security for new features, functionality and modules and resolve segregation of duties issues
- Work with IT Infrastructure Services (IS) and Basis Administrators to ensure backups and operating system and security patching
- Work with IT Infrastructure Services (IS) and Basis Administrators to install and test new releases of software packages for the SAP S4, BI and related landscape (e.g. SPs, Enhancement Packages, etc.)
- Work with IT IS and Basis Administrators to anticipate, mitigate and resolve issues associated with S4 and SAP Business Intelligence applications across the landscape (e.g. troubleshooting, tuning, resources, connections, etc.)
- Migrate changes across the SAP S4, BI and BOE landscape (e.g. promotion of objects and transports)
- Provide input to develop implementation and contingency plans
- Maintain and upgrade skills on new SAP technology and maintain SAP security standards, procedures and documentation
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
- University degree or college diploma in computer science or a related discipline with a minimum 3 years of SAP S4, BusinessObjects Enterprise and Business Warehouse experience in a mostly Microsoft environment.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with administrating, configuring, troubleshooting and optimizing related to security design, implementation and administration for S4, BusinessObjects Enterprise 4.2+ and SAP Business Warehouse NetWeaver 7.53+ environments
- In-depth knowledge of inter-dependencies between SAP and Microsoft Active Directory (Azure AD) environments related to SSO is required
- Excellent research capabilities and ability to recommend and apply new features for security administration
- Solid organizational, time management, technical and analytical/problem solving skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to work independently as well as in a team environment - Familiar with S4 HCM position based security and structural authorization (pd profiles) would be an asset Experience in S4 authorization role development and application security testing would be an asset
- Experience and knowledge of Fiori based security and tile allocation would be an asset
Experience and knowledge with SF Role Based Permissions and the transition from ERP HCM to SF EC and ECP would be an asset - Certifications in S4, Business Objects and Business Warehouse Administration would be an asset
Hourly Rate/Salary: $ 86,858.00 - $ 115,812.00/ $47.72 to $63.63 per hour
