As a Scrum Master at LI, you will work with a highly talented team of engineers spanning a range of disciplines. The day for the Scrum Master begins with checking Azure for any overnight issues and leading the daily stand-up to discuss progress and blockers, ensuring the team is aligned for the day's work. You then spend your days collaborating with Product Owners to refine the product backlog, setting the stage for successful sprint planning, maintaining application security and resolving high-priority incidents, ensuring systems run smoothly and securely.

You’ll also tackle strategic tasks, from enhancing application performance to managing Level 3 support requests, ensuring quality and efficiency, whilst mentoring team members and fostering professional growth.

Responsibilities

An experienced Scrum Master and Business Analyst with a strong background in Azure technologies, Azure DevOps, Scrum methodologies, and Kanban to lead our Azure application and infrastructure team. This role is crucial in facilitating our agile development process, ensuring project goals are met efficiently and effectively. You will possess a unique blend of technical prowess, agile coaching skills, and a keen sense for business analysis to drive projects from conception to completion.

  • Serve as the Scrum Master for our Azure application and infrastructure teams, guiding and coaching the team on Scrum and Kanban methodologies to optimise productivity and quality.
  • Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring clear communication and collaboration among team members.
  • Work closely with Product Owners to refine and maintain the product backlog, ensuring alignment with project goals and priorities.
  • Oversee application and infrastructure maintenance, ensuring operational efficiency, security hardening, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Lead break-fix incident management, offering Level 3 support and handling service requests to ensure high availability and reliability of applications and infrastructure.
  • Employ Azure DevOps tools to manage projects, track progress, and facilitate continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) processes.
  • Lead business analysis efforts, identifying requirements, analysing workflows, and proposing solutions that leverage Azure technologies to meet business needs.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team, encouraging innovation, and adopting best practices in agile project management.
  • Manage project risks and impediments, ensuring they are identified, communicated, and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure projects align with business objectives and expectations.
  • Provide mentorship and support to team members, promoting professional growth and development within the agile framework.
  • Reporting success with regular analysis using burndown charts and driving efficiencies.

Requirements

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar agile project management certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master, Business Analyst or in a similar role, with a proven track record of successfully managing agile projects.
  • Strong experience with Azure DevOps, including Boards, Repos, Pipelines, and Test Plans.
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and the ability to apply them in a flexible and practical manner.
  • Experience in business analysis, BPMN, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams.
  • Problem-solving mindset, with a focus on delivering results and achieving project objectives

Reporting structure

This role sits with the Service function and reports to the Service Operations Manager.

How you’ll work - Remote Working

We work fully remotely, and we come together once a quarter for in person all hands to connect and collaborate with our colleagues as well as other team meetings in shared spaces. We do allow working from locations outside of the UK (within GDPR compliant countries) for limited periods of time to allow for greater flexibility, but this will need to be approved by your manager first.
