Position Description/Responsibilities:

TSPi is actively seeking a Scrum Master with experience working within the Scaled Agile Framework to join our team and support our government clients. As a Scrum Master using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), you will be a key facilitator in ensuring effective Agile practices and principles are followed throughout the project. You will play a crucial role in guiding and supporting the Agile teams, helping them maximize productivity, collaboration, and delivery of high-quality solutions. Your primary focus will be on fostering a culture of continuous improvement and empowering the teams to achieve their goals. Your key responsibilities will include:

Position Responsibilities

  • Scrum Master Role: Fulfill the Scrum Master role for one or multiple Agile teams, acting as a servant leader, facilitator, and coach to help the teams embrace Agile methodologies.

  • Agile Ceremonies: Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives to ensure smooth and efficient execution of Agile practices.

  • Obstacle Removal: Proactively identify and address impediments and roadblocks that hinder the team's progress, working with stakeholders to remove barriers to success.

  • Team Empowerment: Enable and empower the Agile teams to self-organize, make decisions, and take ownership of their work, fostering a high level of accountability and collaboration.

  • Continuous Improvement: Encourage a culture of continuous improvement within the teams, promoting a mindset of learning and adaptation to improve processes and deliverables.

  • SAFe Implementation: Support the successful implementation of SAFe practices and ceremonies across multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and ensure alignment with overall program objectives.

  • Metrics and Reporting: Monitor and report Agile metrics and progress to stakeholders, facilitating transparency and visibility into the project's status.

  • Collaboration: Foster strong collaboration and communication between the Agile teams, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to ensure effective alignment with business goals.

Required Skills / Experience:

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Agile Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a Scrum Master, working on IT implementation projects within Agile frameworks.

  • SAFe Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) principles and practices, with experience in implementing SAFe projects.

  • Scrum Mastery: Proficient in Scrum principles and practices, with a deep understanding of Agile ceremonies and roles.

  • Servant Leadership: Demonstrated ability to be a servant leader, supporting and empowering Agile teams to achieve their objectives.

  • Collaboration and Communication: Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to foster strong working relationships with diverse teams and stakeholders.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills to address challenges and impediments faced by Agile teams.

Additional Preferred Skills:

  • SAFe Certifications: Possession of SAFe certifications such as SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or SAFe Agilist (SA) showcases a commitment to SAFe principles.

  • Agile Coaching: Experience in Agile coaching and mentoring teams to embrace Agile best practices and principles.

  • Scaled Agile Environment: Experience in managing Agile projects within a large-scale, enterprise-level environment.
