As a Security Engineer, you will assume a pivotal role in orchestrating and leading our security team, ensuring the continuous safety and protection of our digital assets. You will partner with cross functional business units to ensure they deliver tools and services that align with our mission to bolster our security infrastructure.
What you’ll be doing:
- Design, develop and integrate secure hardware and software solutions to generate digital material
- Define contribute to security requirements for hardware and software design
- Drive and perform hands-on operations within a highly secure environment to generate manage digital material
- Design, development, and deployment of robust security architectures and strategies to fortify systems and networks against cyber threats.
- Conducting comprehensive risk assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability analyses to proactively identify and address potential security loopholes.
- Optimize security protocols, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security features into the entire development lifecycle of products and services.
- Oversee the implementation of security solutions, including encryption, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance security processes and response capabilities, staying ahead of emerging threats.
- Build new services to meet critical product and business needs using Python, Golang.
- Design scalable systems to solve novel problems with modern cloud technology and industry best practices.
- Articulate a long term vision for maintaining and scaling our backend systems and the teams running them.
- Work with engineers, designers, product managers and senior leadership to turn our product and technical vision into a tangible roadmap every quarter.
What we look for in you:
- Extensive experience in engineering roles with a focus on cybersecurity, systems security, or network security.
- Profound expertise in designing and implementing robust security architectures and protocols.
- Demonstrated leadership in conducting risk assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability analyses.
- Strong knowledge of compliance standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices in cybersecurity.
- Strong knowledge of cryptography and public key infrastructure
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to embed security into the development lifecycle.
- Proficiency in managing and optimizing security technologies and tools.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to inspire and guide a team toward security excellence.
- You’ve worked with Golang, Ruby, Docker, Rails, Postgres, MongoDB or DynamoDB.
- You’ve built financial, high reliability or security systems.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, UDP or similar networking protocols. Experience with network design of complex distributed systems
- Ability to work in our office in Dublin, Ireland.
Nice to haves:
- Experience working with Cross Domain Guard and HSMs
- Experience working in a high security and/or highly regulated industry.
- Experience in securing Digital Assets
- Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
- You have gone through a rapid growth in your company (from startup to mid-size).
- You have experience with Blockchain technology (such as Bitcoin, Ethereum etc..)
