Ardent is seeking a Senior AI Policy Analyst to join our team.

This is a Remote position.

Position Description:

Summary:

At Ardent, the Senior AI Policy Analyst plays an important role in analyzing the complex landscape of artificial intelligence regulations and policies. This position involves a deep dive into AI governance, identifying trends, and providing strategic insights that will guide corporate strategy and compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Policy Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of current and proposed AI regulations and policies at local, national, and international levels. Identify potential impacts on the organization and suggest strategic responses.
  • Research Initiatives: contribute in research projects on various aspects of AI policy, including ethical considerations, privacy implications, and industry standards. Synthesize research findings into actionable policy briefs and reports.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with governmental bodies, regulatory agencies, industry associations, and other stakeholders to gather insights and stay ahead of policy developments.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with legal, compliance, and technical teams to ensure a cohesive understanding of AI policies and their implications for product development and business operations.
  • Advocacy and Outreach: Represent the company in public forums, workshops, and conferences related to AI policy. Advocate for fair and equitable policies that foster innovation while ensuring responsible AI deployment.
  • Educational Workshops: Develop and conduct educational sessions for internal stakeholders on the implications of current and emerging AI policies.
  • Policy Strategy Development: Assist in the development of long-term policy strategies that align with the company’s business goals and ethical standards.
  • Monitoring and Forecasting: Keep track of emerging trends, innovations, and regulatory changes in AI, providing regular updates and forecasts to senior management.

Requirements:

  • Education: Master’s degree in Public Policy, Law, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in policy analysis, with at least 2 years focused specifically on technology or AI policy.
  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of AI technologies and their applications, as well as familiarity with global regulatory environments and policy-making processes.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to distill complex information into clear, concise, and actionable insights.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong ability to think strategically and anticipate future developments in AI policy.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a policy role within a tech company.
  • Experience engaging with international policy bodies or think tanks.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies.
