Reporting to one of our Engineering Managers, you will play a pivotal role in developing and launching features for the Calendly Mobile Android app. If you are ready to make a significant impact and grow your career, we would love to hear from you.

A day in the life of a Senior Android Engineer at Calendly

You enjoy collaborating with Product and Design partners to create solutions that will deliver a great experience to users. Top candidates are proactive, stakeholder-minded, and empathetic. You and your team members impact every aspect of development from design, delivery and maintenance. You write clean code and work closely with product managers to plan and implement complete solutions. You are comfortable working in technologies such as Kotlin, Compose, and Android UI design.

On a typical day, you will be working on:

  • Advocating for strong foundations in technical architecture while maintaining high velocity
  • Working end-to-end to deliver features - from discovery, product design, technical design, coding, testing, shipping, and iteration based on collaborator feedback
  • Reviewing tech specs and pull requests from other specialists
  • Improving our engineering systems and processes; we operate an agile process with sprints and iterate continuously
  • Mentoring and coaching other team members

What do we need from you?

  • 7+ years as an Android Engineer developing native applications at a SaaS or technology company
  • Proficiency in interacting with RESTful APIs from mobile applications
  • Experience working with Kotlin
  • Experience building Android UI (XML, Compose)
  • Knowledge of the MVVM architectural pattern
  • Excited to craft simple software solutions to sophisticated problems
  • Strive to craft clean, reliable and highly maintainable code.
  • Authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America as Calendly does not engage in immigration sponsorship at this time

The ranges listed below are the expected annual base salary for this role, subject to change.
Calendly takes a number of factors into consideration when determining an employee’s starting salary, including relevant experience, relevant skills sets, interview performance, location/metropolitan area, and internal pay equity.
Base salary is just one component of Calendly’s total rewards package. All full-time (30 hours/week) employees are also eligible for our Quarterly Corporate Bonus program (or Sales incentive), equity awards, and competitive benefits.
Calendly uses the zip code of an employee’s remote work location, or the onsite building location if hybrid, to determine which metropolitan pay range we use. Current geographic zones are as follows:
  • Tier 1: San Francisco, CA, San Jose, CA, New York City, NY
  • Tier 2: Chicago, IL, Austin, TX, Denver, CO, Boston, MA, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, PA, Portland, OR, Seattle, WA, Miami, FL, and all other cities in CA.
  • Tier 3: All other locations not in Tier 1 or Tier 2
Tier 1 Salary$217,668—$294,492 USDTier 2 Salary$199,529—$269,951 USDTier 3 Salary$161,500—$218,500 USD
